i am cycling a 55 gal and the filters i have in are a marineland h.o.t. magnum 250,whisper 4, and 2 aquaclear powerheads 301 and i was wondering if i should get rid of the whisper 4 thanks

I think that really depends on what kind of fish and how many you are planning on adding. If you are going to stock heavily or get messy fish you'll need heavy filtration. If you are going light you may not need that much. I would see how things go when you stock the tank.

Yes that is a factor...but also the more filters you have isn't going to do any harm

The more filters, the better!!!

As long as the water current isnt too strong, and the fish arent too little, it's all good!

I would suggest turning off the some of the filter to save electricity (more money gets you more fish!)
