Well here goes another daft question, i have two external filters, i could not believe how much crap gets into the pipes both in and out so the big question is how do you clean the pipes i have bought some more tubing so i can take the dirty ones off but how do you get to the middle part of the pipe i used a pipe brush to clean each end but cant get to the middle.

I've never thought much about this but I guess you are right that the pipes would collect stuff on the inside. I don't know that it would be a major problem though unless they become at least 50% clogged.

we haven't set up our external filters yet, but i use this method to clean out the pipes on my sheesha/hubbly bubbly/hookah.. whatever you wanna call it:

using a long cable, like gear cables from a bike (has to be twice as long as the tube to clean), thread one end through the tubing, so you can hold each end of the cable without touching the tubing.

next thread one end back through the tubing, so there is a loop in the cable at one end of the tubing, and two loose ends at the other.

then you put a peice of material/cloth (enough so that it is tough to pull the lot through the tubing (in order to clean off all the gunk)) through the loop.

finally pull the material through the tubing using the two loose ends of the cable, you can do this a number of times, and it should shift the gunk pretty well.. it may work better if the cloth is a little damp!

hope that makes sense!!

kat :)

Hi, thanks alot, i guess if i got a piece of wire thread it through with the tube brush on the other end then just pull the brush through.
