I have a fluval 3 plus in my aquarium, is this one any good? :kana:

I havent the room for an external filter and the fluval seems really good. the waters still clear any way.. :p

but I cant seem to find any reviews for this filter on the internet!!!

I have fluvals as back up filters, only one thing I don't like about them is the cartridge tray is hard to pull away from the filter at times, the fluval 4 plus is the worst for this.

I've got a fluval 3 in my fry tank and it's super duper. Agree that they can be difficult to pull apart though.

120L or 30 gallons its in the middle for the capacity use... I cheaked that today. :D . but I was just wondering what its like...I'm not having any problems with mine at all
and yes pulling the filter away is a wee bit tight but thats better then it falling apart all the time isn't it...

Tight, arnold swartanagger would have trouble pulling mine apart at times.

My Fluval 4 + is alot easier to pull apart than my old fluval 2's 3's and 4's. push down the clips, wiggle and away!

I don't think the fancy goldfish waste helps, I must be weak as sometimes it takes ages, I dread having to do it.

ok one thing i noticed about my fluval 2+ is that above the intake grid there is a cutaway groove to unclip the cartridge, which if i'm not mistaken takes in more tank water than the intake grid, basically pumping unfiltered water back into the aquarium. i taped up one side to counteract this but not sure if it really helps. am i actually mistaken in that it pumps out unfiltered water as i'm sure i'm not the only person to have noticed this and had a fiddle?!

I have a fluval 3 + in one tank and a fluval 4+ in the other, both fantastic and easy. :D

I have a fluval 2, no plus. It came with the tank. I had to scrub it really well as it was covered in algae but it seems OK. I even managed to loosen the output valve :flex:

I have the fluval filters in all my tanks ranging from no. 1 to no. 4. and they all take in water through the gap silvershark but my tanks stay cycled and run smoothly.

A good tip with these is to take the impeller out and get a cocktail stick and scrape it round the chamber once a month. You'll be surprised how much gunk comes out!

I use Fluval +3's and +2's in both my tanks, I find them easy to maintain and very efficient filters.
