i have a fluval 2+ internal filter and today i turnred off electricity to do a water change. when i had finished i turned the electricity back on and no reaction from the filter i took took apart the the filter cleaning the impeller and reassembled it, still nothing.
Does anybody know what might be wrong?
Cheers.

I just cleaned it and it was working for about a second or two then it stopped again.

Did you run it at all without water in the impellor chamber? These sealed unit induction motors will get hot and can distort if they are operated without water to cool them.

I'd still guess there was something blocking the impellor though. Perhaps when you cleaned it, and it started working, it sucked something else up.
