What kind and brand of filter would be best for a 20 gallon tank? And how much gallons per an hour should it be able to filter?ALL so do you think I should have 2 filters or 1?

I would just get a simple Penguin 125 (hang-on-the-back, bio-wheel type filter).
I've seen them a couple times recently for only $14.99. Bigalsonline.com was
one of the places selling them. You really don't need anything too fancy for
goldfish. As a rule of thumb you want the filter capacity in gallons per hour to
be at least 4-5 times the tank capacity. A Penguin 125 pumps 125 gallons per hour,
enough for your 20 gal.
