are you thinking electricity wise or for the media?

find a filter, found out how many watts it consumes.

say it consumes 10 watts it consumes 10 watts an hour after one hundred hours it will have consumed 1000 watts = 1Kw

electricity is charged by Kw an hour

so for every hundred hours running a 10 watt filter would cost approx 14p to run or 0.14p and hour.

but a pond filter will consume more watts so work it out using this method

where did you get the 14p from, is that how much you leccy is???

1W is onw joule per second too so you can do it that way although it may just complicate things lol

14p is the average cost of one unit of electricity.

why would you need joules? seeing as electricity is charged per kilowatt hour

Figure out if your over loading cables??? maybe???

all cables suplied will be more than capable of carrying the load
not a problem if the ampage is lowered and the voltage increased

lol the cables supplied for the filter will be fine but if your running loads of crap outside such as heaters and stuff that is nothing to do with the pond off of an outisde supply the cables could "melt"

so how much would a 12watt pump coz to run a year coz i got £1471 is that right
no thats not right.

it would more than likely be £14.71

the pump sounds very small though. what size pond you looking at? orfe can get quite big.

i had to get read of the orfe because my mum will only let me get a litle pond because ive got a 3 year old brother the orfe went to one of my mums friends thats got a 10m,5m.1.5m pond
