This always happens to me and it's worrying

I have one of those filter trays inside the top of my tank hood and the water level is literally level with the top of the tray, another half milimetre and it's going to overflow, this happened with my last tanks too, what can I do?

Generally, the only reason filters overflow is if they're clogged with gunk and need to be cleaned or have too much media in them. So I'd say try cleaning it out?

the pump must be running to slow and its not pumping water back fast enought

No there is no bend, the powerhead came with the tank so should really be suitable for it

their must be a flow adjuster on the powerhead turn the flow rate up

Do you reckon removing media from 1 of the 5 trays would temporarily speed up the flow til I install the new EX1200?
