I've had a pair of fiddler crabs for some time now, housed in a 10g tank about 3/4 full and rocks to climb out of the water. There's a couple dozen female guppies with them and an assassin snail or two.

The setup I have now has a Whisper 5-15 filter, but since the water doesn't come to the top I have a constant "waterfall" sound. Some may find it soothing but it's starting to wear on me.

Does anyone know of a setup I can use that will work? I want to be cautious because aside from the sound, the setup works beautifully. The water is always crystal clear and stats are spot on.

Going to bump this, because I've decided to start tearing down my 55g and will be doing a lot of fish-swapping between my other tanks. I want to be careful with my crabitat because it's working so well now ... just NOISY. My stats are always spot on, and the water is crystal clear.

Anybody?

Hi there :D

Seems you have 2 options...

either in crease the length of the drop off ramp (to reduce distance is thas to fall) or decrase the distance between substrate and filter.

Could you add a piece of bogwood/rock/ornament etc, inder the flow return?

The other option would be to install an inverter ramp to redirect the flow to the back wall of the aquarium, that would inlove a bir of silicon though?
