I've had a 75 gallon tank for a few years now, filtered by a Fluval 404 and a Fluval 204. At the time, I was told that the two filters would be fine, and it certainly seems like they did a pretty good job. The motor unit on my 404 burned out pretty recently, though, and I'm looking to get a new filter to go along with the 204, which still works fine.

My question is, will a Magnum 350 do the job? I've seen some sources that say it's good for tanks up to 100 gallons, and some that say it's recommended for tanks up to around 60 gallons. And is the Bio Wheel attachment a good investment?

Any advice would be appreciated

magnum Should work with the 204 , look around maybe you can find another 404 at a good price .

What's your fish load ?[ what kind , how many ?}

When I get my 80g, I will probably go with a combo of Filstar XP3 and Aqua Clear 500. To me, this gives the best of both worlds....
