Hi, just set up a TIRGON 240 corner unit tank, everything is working ok but i have a question on the pump. At the moment it is under water but still working and pumping water back into the tank, should it actually be out of the water though? I tried it out of the water and got a lot of splashing and its also quite noisy.? My other fear is that because its under water is it possible for my smaller fish to swim into it or would the pressure be too strong for them to do this.

41 reads and no response.? is there a block on this post that i cant see or what.?

no block but the time you have written this i was still sleeping lol. Also like Cheffi said whats the make and model of the filter.

Good Point, its a Juwel Filter System

Hi,

I am not familiar with your exact filter/pump but all mine opperate under water and will make a bad noise if lifted out of the water.

Is the outlet of the filter a pipe that you are worried the small fish will swim in? I can't see it hapening as the current should be too great. If you are worried about them getting sucked into the inlet you can put some filter foam around it or get some plastic mesh material and wrap it around.

Hope this helps.

Dylan
