Hi guys

I have a Internet PF1 Filter.

As soon as i get any algae on the glass it just slips like the suction cups are not holding it.

My tank is getting pretty horrid at the moment because it's almost cycled.

I am going on holiday for 5 days and need to make sure it doesn't slip while i am away.

Any ideas? x

dont most in-water filters have a little hook thing for the back of the tank?

is it like my eheim internal whereby the suckers are like a clip/bracket that the filter can be removed from? if so why not try sticking the suckers to the glass with blobs of aquarium silicone?

one of my tanks has the same filter running alongside the main one- as a back up. why not try placing something underneath it inside the tank to prop it up for the time being?

i have this same prblem with the fluval 2+ and 3+ filters and i was told by lfs to soak the suckers in boiling water to soften them before suctioning them to the side of the tank and it really does work lol try to do it just above the water line and then move them to where you want them to hold, sounds strange but it works!!!

Thanks for the replies, some great ideas, will give them a go x
