Filter Impaler

My Aquaclear 50 recently started to make a terrible noise. So I order a replacement impaler I've tried 2 new ones and cant seem to stop the noise. If anyone has any idea I would greatly appreciate it.

ouch! sounds painfull ( its impeller )

have you tried giving the whole thing a good clean? sometimes sand, etc can get stuck

I was wondering how to spell it lol... Yes I gave it a clean and dried it and reassembled the whole thing but still no luck

There should be a shaft running right through the impeller assembly. Have a look and make sure that both ends of the shaft seat properly in the little rubbery parts that act as bearings. If either end is not seating right, the impeller will wobble in the casing and make a terrible racket.
