Filter Hose Length

I cannot move the filter any higher however the hoses currently touch the floor before entering the tank/filter.

There not supposed to go floorwards before going up, you will proberbly increase flow by chopping the hoses down so that they go straight up to the tank.

although the main reason for a decrease in flow rate would be the height in which the filter has to pump the water, but you will see a difference if you chop your hose down as short as possible. if you cut it so the hose goes in a straight line from filter to tank with no bends, twists, kinks or drops!

I have cut it and there is a small increase. I dont suppose you guys know the answer to this one do you?
