Filter for Bottom filtration tank

I have a tank that has bottom filtration so I can not use live sand or live rock due to copper being in the tank at one time, so what type of filter do I need or is the tank useless? The only thing I could use would be coral I guess, I do not think the live sand would work. So what are my options for a 200 gallon tank?
