Filter Floss

I have a standard filter in my Daughters Juwel rekord 60 tank and wondered could i use normal filter floss ontop of the normal sponges instead of the expensive Juwel pads.
Just seems to cost more because they have turned the floss into nice little pads

yes you can i have done this in a juwel 240 filter but i placed them between the pads not on top as the floss will end up all over the place
