Hello everyone!

I have an small internal power filter (interpet) and it sits in my small tank in my bedroom and its driving me nuts!

I start hearing a distint buzzing noise which is extremely annoying, i then take the lid off and move it slightly... the noise goes, and starts again 2 minuites later! ahhhhh

Anyone know whats wrong ? i've tried cleaning it, cleaning the impellor and everything. It seems as though it vibrates the glass or somthing?

Anyone have any ideas?

Is there air trapped in it ? take it apart and reassemble it UNDER water, other than that the impeller may need replacing (it spinning eccentrically) or may just be a noisy filter ! - do you HAVE to have it fixed to the glass ? Not having it attached to the glass will reduce noise from any internal.

hey, it seems to be in perfect working condition. The wire that exits through the tank seems to be making the vibrating noise, how can i stop this?

Trap it to the glass using the hood, or use a cloths peg ! LOL Maybe put a bit of foam insulation over the glass.... have you TRIED anything ?
