Filter Chioce For Tank

externals only budget £80 anything i have missed, want something powerful in order to allow tank upgrade

I am liking the tetratec EX 1200 with 1200litres per hour flow rate

I would go with either of the two Eheims or a Tetratec EX700.

Out of those I would go wit the tetratec, or if it's only lightly stocked, go for the eheim pro1.

Ecco's and penn-plax don't seem to get the best reviews.

Dont overlook the rena xp3 and xp4! eheim is great but for value you cant beat rena! you can practically drink the water in my 90 gallon tanks and upkeep couldnt be easier. They are at least worth a serious look.

Eheims always come highly rated, a tetratec ex700 would be the next choice imo.

I'd go for an EX1200, you can always turn the flow rate down, plus if you upgrade to a larger tank then you will already have a decent filter ready to go.
