I have a 35.5 litre tank at the moment i have an undergravel filter and a fluval 1 plus filter in it. I would like to get rid of these and just have one good internal filter in the tank. Can advise me on any good makes that would be suitable. Thanks.

hi
rena filters are good, the filstar range, i have the filstar 2 and it keeps the water crystal clear in my 60 litre, so i guess you would have to go for a the filstar 1, i think rena are a little more pricey but they do a good job.

My HOT Magnum works quite well...a canister type that hangs off the back. Pleated filter change is easy, and swapping to other media isn't too difficult. A straight HOB (like an aquaclear) will allow you to have mech filtration and stacks of different kinds of media all at once.

Come to think of it, I don't know of any filter types that haven't worked for me, and I'm definitely no expert at any of this.
