Would take some myself if i didn't live so far away, hertfordshire is about 3hrs drive from where i live which is just too far for me :| .
Anymore info on the fish though- are they all koi, or are there some goldfish in the mix too? What colours and sizes are they and what sorts of prices is he looking at for them (unless he's really into his koi, how does he know their worth?)? Pics of the fish may encourage someone to take them off his hands  .

Thanks Tokis-Phoenix

the previous owner of the house was the koi fanatic and sold the pond with the house. they told him their worth. TBH i've never seen the pond so cant comment. i'll see if he can take some pictures as i wouldn't want any of you to make a big trip to find there goldfish. by the sounds of the sizes he's described they must be koi. as to quality i cant comment. thanks for the tips. i'll send him out with the camera.

there's a koi specialist store in Herts somewhere, i visited it with my bf once, if there isn't anyone here, they may be interested? they have lots of prize winning enormous ones that are like 4ft long O_O

i can't quite remember where it was, but not far from hitchin/letchworth. have a look in yellow pages.

Any chance of some pictures?

I'm interested in helping to home and would be able to collect.

What sort of money are you looking for??

any pictures can be sent to paul.bruce@gmail.com

the Japanese Koi Company, Henlow. - about 30 seconds walk from my front door!!

it's a fantastic shop but wont buy fish from the public. well worth a visit for any fish. their FW and SW sections are IMO better than all the crews hill shops put together.

right, just been over there and taken some pictures. i wont be able to upload them till the weekend but basically he has 10 koi various sizes. biggest about 50cm (2 of that size) and the rest around the 30-40cm mark. mixture of colour variants, look pretty healthy (not that i'm a koi expert). plus loads of smaller gold fish type fish which i'm sure he will sell if wanted.

the filters huge, about 5 to 6 feet long, cant tell you much more than that.

i'll get the pics up asap.

right, at last here's the pictures.

Some lovely koi in there, but nothing to tickle me fancy i'm afraid.

Best bet would be a koi forum to sell the kit on quicky though.
