I have a 44GAL pentagon tank.
What would be the best size of the live rack I should purchase medium, large or extra large?

firstly there is no need to post the same thing in multiple forums

ok now to the question at hand
1.35 pounds per USgallon is adequate
don't exceed 1.75 pounds per gallon

I dont think either of you answered igurtin's question! Medium, Large or extra large is up to you mate. For ease of Aquascaping, id suggest Medium pieces. They will be MUCH more easier to maneuver and tinker with to get your Aquascape right the way you want it! But, if you want just a few large pieces, and dont want a "wall" of Live Rock, buy the XL!
