I've finally had the time and money to give my Puffer a nautral looking brackish-estuary scheme to his tank... Photo's to follow very shortly! :D

Took me about 4 hours to do and about 3 cubes of ghost shrimp to win back the heart of my beloved Puffer though!!

The main change was switching from Gravel to Silver Sand!

Get those pictures up here! I'm looking forward to seeing it!

I hate to say it, but a estuary is not biotope-like for Tetraodon biocellatus. This puffer is truly a freshwater species, not brackish. This puffer inhabits streams and a couple rivers, mostly in the Mekong. Creating a biotope for Tetraodon biocellatus would be difficult because although they are best kept in brackish aquaria, they do not naturally inhabit brackish waters. It's a toss up between whats most natural and whats best for the puffer. Not to mention finding aquatic plants native to that region seems to be difficult.

Please read the other thread where you posted the video. That's not a Figure 8, that's a Ceylon, with different requirements. All Figure 8s have an "eyespot" on the sides of their tails.

LOL, I have seen this happen so many times! I laugh, but it just happened to me with a stomatopod. Don't worry, timmystood, Ceylons are the shiznit!
