Nope. I tried to put them together and after sevral hours one of gobies bottom fins were missing, so dont try and keep a Knight goby with a figure 8 puffer in a 10 gal. I have a bunch of different tanks, right now im holding the goby in freshwater for the night.

do you think that the figure 8's aggression was the biggest issue then, or the fact that the tank is too small to house both of thise fish?

It's almost definitely the small tank size. I've got a figure 8 with knight gobies, and they've been fine for months. That's not to say one day my figure 8 will snap and kill all of them, but so far so good.

EDIT: BTW, it's in a 29g.

thats what i was thinking too. My 2 figure 8's started off in a 30g with knights, bbg's and candy stripes, and now live with chromides, knights and mollies in a 60g. the only fin nipping ive experienced or spotted so far was once on a candy stripe dorsal.

well now flumps wrong.the other night on live chat he said the 1 of the gobies attacked the puffer.territory is what he said.just thought u should know

Ugh, no, I'm not wrong. It wasn't an "attack". The gobies are territorial, but if you give them enough space and hiding places, they're fine. This was most definitely an isolated incident, and the puffer was not hurt at all, and neither was the goby.
