I have read various reports of f8s doing well in full marine conditions and that their colours becoming more vibrant in full marine. Is this true, or would it shorten the life span of the fish?

As far as i'm aware Tetraodon biocellatus does not enter full sea water in its native habitat so i would not recomend keeping them in full SW. The recomended specific gravity for F8 puffers is between 1.001 and 1.006.

Fig *'s live in light brackish all there lives, they might live for a while in SW but it would be hell on there kidneys
