I have an african clawed frog, a glass tetra, a ghost shrimp, and 2 angel fish in my tank. I recently noticed that the glass tetra is swimming after and butting the white angel fish to the point where the angel fish has to hide behind a plant. I was wondering if this behavior could be a problem, and if it is how do I remedy it? The tetra doesn't go after the black angel fish which is the same size as the white, or the frog.

Hi there. Can I ask how big your tank is? The only reason being that the most good natured fish can sometimes be aggressive in a smaller tank. Also, I believe that tetras are unhappy on they're own. You did't say whether there is just one but if there is room try getting a shoal of about 6 to 10 of them.

My tank is only a 10 gallon. I was hoping to move the angels and the frog later when they got big. The glass tetra IS by itself, so maybe thats the problem. Maybe I should get him a friend? But what if the friend becomes violent too? Should I just get a bigger tank now? :/

If you can that would be best for your fish. Your angels are going to need a bigger tank in a bit any way . and you really should keep a school of tetra if fish get stressed ie scared harrased they can get ich and die amoung other things. So yes get a bigger tank or find some one to tak some of your fish.

And don't keep the african CLAWED frog with your fish! Dwarf frogs are ok - but these clawed frogs will regularly kill their tankmates.

Oh and if you were not aware of this, the angels need a 30 gallon tank minnimum because they require at least 18" of height in the tank to be comfortable. Similarly, a school of 6 is the minnimum for tetras so put them in the new tank too and add more if you have less than 6.

Well, I bought 2 more tetras, that makes three. I know you guys said 6 minimum, but hopefully this will work out ok for now. I also put a down payment on a 30 gallon tank. Will that be ok for the angel fish?
