i am new to bettas so i need to know would a female gight with another femal??

are females as agressive as males because i would like to get a female betta. i have a male in one tank so i need to put the female in my second tank but would the female get vicious with the guppies like the male does???

thanks

they sjhudnt but they can be aggressive so be careful when introducing them

My females didn't like guppies in their tank and gave their tails a haircut  so now they are only kept with cories and khulies

Depends on the individual betta really, try them out, but be prepared to make other housing arrangements

edited for my poor spelling :*)

I tried 2 female bettas together in a 5G tank yesterday and the one that's a bit bigger pestered the heck out of the smaller one.

Just be prepared with other arrangements in case a fight ensues, cuz some females are just naturally little snotty hags.

As far as I know Female-Bettas schould always be kept in a group of 4-5 that way pestering smaller females will not happen. :)

I set up a newer 10G yesterday - and I'm going to get 2-3 more today to go along with the 2 that I already have (who are anxiously waiting in their little cups @ home to get into their nice new tank) :)

I know that male bettas will harrass any fish with large tails (fancy guppies, angels, etc) as they see them as possibly being another betta and therefore a threat. I'm not sure about females though.
