Hi I was given 4 male fiddlers and promised 4 females(have to get the 4 females on Thursday). I did some research on them and everthing I can find said that they are scavengers and won't harm fish. Well I got up yesterday and two of them were munching on my silver tipped shark (aka Columbian shark)she was fine when we went to sleep. I don't know if they killed her or what. Any advise on these guys? Is it safe to put fish back in the tank? The water Prams are all good. I know from the past that advice from someone that has had an animal is worth more that all the research in the world, learned this when I had a salt tank.

They are opportunistic scavengers, sometimes they do eat fish yes. Though if the Columbian shark is as big as or bigger than them its less likely.

What salinity is the tank at? How much land area do you have for the crabs? This must be a huge tank to house 8 crabs and a Colombian shark! Also, although this is the invert section,, you know Colombian sharks should be in groups?

It is a large tank 150 gal. I know they do good in groups, the LFS only had 2 females, so they ordered me a male to go with my girl. I have 6 floating platforms (4" x 4") connected to the bottem by plants.
The salinity Is in good shape (or so my hubby said, I'll check it myself when I get home and post it).
