few suggestions for new tank please.

ermm like best position for filter?
should i add plants before i start cycle or after its complete?

its a fluval duo deep 800 set up i have so some ideas as to good groups of fish would be helpful aswell thx.

looking to get bigger tank later on once i convince wifey i can look after this one properly lol.

You can add plants anytime, doesnt really matter when.

How big is the tank?

As for the filter try putting it in a corner and then play with the direction of the water outlet to see where you are happy with it. HTH

not sure as too that.not really sure what ones are species only,i liked cihlids when i had em before and i seen some silver dollars and liked em but aren't sure how big they get or that.
