Few Dalmation Molly Question

I bought a trio of dalmation mollies yesterday, and both female sspawned when i woke up this morning.


When will dalmation molly fry be adult/ready to breed?
When will dalmation mollies spawn again?
Do they also store semen?
Or do all livebearer doo that?

BTW, my tank is now cycled.

Not all livebearers store sperm packets but some that do include mollies. None really store semen as such but common livebearers do not dispense semen the way we may think of it, instead they dispense what are called sperm packets. Those packets can be used to produce fry in the absence of adult male fish. In the absence of adult male fish, I would look for a drop in 5 to 6 weeks, not the 4 weeks associated with a typical breeding situation.

Your fry should be ready to breed in about 4 months if they are given ideal growing conditions. Otherwise it can take far longer.

Never knew that, you learn something new every day! Dalmatians always give me trouble with breeding, they never seem to want to do it with normal mollies.
