I have a tank 55g of Frogbit I need to fertilize. How much Maxi-Gro to a 55gallon tank to feed the frogbit. No other plants and no fish. I want to use regular cheap fertilizer.

General Hydroponic Maxi-Gro 10-5-14 ? I would go small to start, about 1/2 gram per week.

It's not really formulated for aquatic plants, and could increase the chance of algae blooming.

Yes, 10-5-14. That is 1/8th. of a tsp. per gallon???X 55 gallons? 5 1/2 tsps. to 55 gallon?

Since it's not for aquatic plant, I would start very slow and work my way up.

As long as the light is decent frogbit doesn't need much fertilizer. I have an aquarium with ec 20 and i never add fertlizer and for the past year frogbit grows non stop.

I agree, I just want to quicken the process, green them up some, thicken the leaves and promote better reproduction.
