what's the deal with plant fertilizers? how do you know if you need them or if you need to change the lighting? and what about the fish? do the added chemicals affect them in anyway?

and yes the added chemicals can and will affect the fish if you dont carefully dose, overdosing with nitrates for example could kill the fish i believe
