Hi i was just wondering weather anyone knows how many females can be kept per tank, and how much space would they each need?
thanks, mikey
(seen some real cool ones on this site  )

10 gallons is the smallest you want to go. For a tank that size, you can keep 4-6 females.

Personally, though, I think that's too small. The girls are forced to live with each other in too close of quarters, and in my experience end up picking on each other too much. But that's just me.

so say i kept 4 females, would you have to filter it?

If you don't filter it, you'll have to do bigger water changes more often. But no, you don't absolutely -have- to.
