Is there anything that determines the sex of fry (water temp ect)Im trying to count my guppy fry (2 monthes old) and i have 15 females to 4 males. Although this has worked out fine so the females wont get hassled , i was just wondering if water stats played a part.

i think its just mother nature determines the sex ratio. in general there are always more females or anything then males. since one make could impregnant 50 females if needed and females are the baby makers.

lower temps- male higher- female, thats what i've read anyway, i posted a thread while ago in the live bearer section try searching for it.

i keep all my guppies at the same temps and i get about 10 female to every 1 male, but my sister has the same setup and temp and she gets it the other way round. weird
