I have a ten gallon tank with 6 female bettas in it. They all get along very well. Everytime I go to walmart and see these beautiful fish in there small cups, I just want to take them in. Well anyways, I saw this one betta at walmart and she was in REALLY dirty water. The cup was marked female but she had long fins. I couldn't see that white tube that the females have but I just trusted that she was and put her in my ten gallon. Her fins are three times as long as my other girls and I just want to know if anyone else has seen more of these. I know she is a girl because I put her in a 1 gallon tank next to my male and she displayed those vertial strips and that tube showed after a while. If anyone knows of any information on long fined females or websites on them I woudl really appreciate it. Thanks! :dunno:

How long? Any picture? I have this female and she got very beautiful long fins. :)

Yeah, her fins are that long but her tail isn't a "double tail" like yours (which is a beautiful female betta) and mine is the same color is your but w/a wash of red at the end of her tail. I will try to get a pic of her to put on here so everyone to see. Are female long tails hard to find like that?

Kind of if you look at petmart or any petstore. You need to order like in aquabid.com from thailand or singapore. I got another one with long fin too but single tail. This one is halfmoon rosetail and the color is steel. She came with melano gene. :D

This is another female with long tail I admired the most. She is a winner of the Royal Blue HM Female at NBC.
Not mine. LOL She might be a sibling of the double tail I got. Have the same feature like her especially the head. Same breeder I got the female. His bettas is TOP! :) I mean very top, good gene and very active. She is in Auction at aquabid.com right now.

This is another female I got and she will be fly from thailand this jan 9. :) Same breeder and this one is only 2 months old. Wonder what they feed her. :D I asked the breeder how many rays she got now and it is 16 rays. That is what I want. I got a male betta from another breeder that is a royal blue over halfmoon that is 32 rays. He is stunning. :p

OMG! That male is so pretty. So is the female. I'm trying to get pics up of my long fined female. I took pics of here today now I have to down size them for this site and upload them from the cam. She's not show quality, but she is so pretty. Those are great pics! :kewlpics:

o yea females are just as capeable of haveing long fins as the males are, its just uncommon. iv seen long fined vt girls and they are quite pretty, had the opertunity to get one but i missed out -_-

I hope I can breed these girls and the offspring should be great. Besides, it will be my new line of betta because they are not from the same breeder. Very hard to find good betta to match. I am taking a risk. :) They are not cheap either but I am very excited and I have some experiences too. LOL It helps.
Actually I am ready to breed some new pairs but I am out of breeder tanks for right now. I have to think how to organized my schedules. :) Hope everything works out great. :) I have at least 6 pairs to breed this month. Hehehe :p

the longer the fins the better the spawn, long fin is what most breeders of all fish strive for but also body size is important because u dont want a fihs that cant suppot its own weight  can u imagine :D

Oh yes, Else the fins kind like sagging or even folding the fins and that is not good. That is why it have to get some bettas that have more rays and straight up. This will hold up the big fins. Aren't it is so interesting about the rays? I was a shock to breed with a halfmoon male with a female crowntail. It throw out different type of fins and different rays in every off springs! Amazing me. :)

Here are a few pics of a couple of my fish. I'm going to be adding more soon! Enjoy betta Freaks! Tee-HEee  My Webpage
