Female swordtail or platy?

Okay guys... I need your help. Is this a female swordtail or a platy?!

I'd say Swordtail, because of the more elongated body shape, and coloring. It also could be a Variatus Platy, but I'd say Swordie is more likely.

She is gorgeous though...very vibrant!

Yep, looks like a swordtail to me too. Platys are usually much deeper bodied.

I would also say she's a swordtail, swordtails and platys can crossbreed with each other so if you don't want fry or hybrids for that matter it'll be worth keeping them separate- none the less though if you are finding females for male swordtails and platys try to give them females of their own species as more than often they pay no interest in each other sexualy and it won't properly balance out the genders in each species.

Yes, swordtail, platys look more like a sideways pancake, (if you want to picture it that way )

Ha ha. In the first pic she looks like a swordy but the second pic a platy. Her colour tells me shes a swordy due to the almost stripes down her body
