yesterday morning i adopted a large female red claw. i added her to my crayfish tank and she got a bit, erm, friendly with my largest male. i didnt think anything would happen so quick but this morning she is carrying eggs. lots and lots of eggs.
i know they will take around 25 days to 'hatch' but i cant find any information regarding whether i should remove her from the tank into a quiet space of her own? or leave her be? one site says to take her out as soon as she'd laid eggs, then replace her after 24hrs (dont see the point of this?) another site says remove her completely for the time it takes for the eggs to hatch?
the tank contains 1 large + 1 juvi male red claw crayfish and 1 large and 1 juvi female red claw, a featherfin catfish, a pim catfish and two very large angels. the temp is a constant 25 degrees.
