Hi Guys,

My female killi (gardneri) has white bumps on her, and her scales look slightly raised ??? Non of my other fish are showing any symptoms yet.

All my water readings are good, and 25% is changed weekly. Temp is 78'C

Any ideas / advice ? Is this the common white spot ? I would expect this on the other fish too ?

Bob

2 Cories
2 Khuli loach
1 bristlenose
4 large platties
6-7- small platty fry
1 male guppy

The white spots seem to be ich, but the protruding scales is a sign of dropsy.

Immediate isolation would be a good first step. A bit more info?

Immediate isolation is underway ! Although my hospital tank is not yet set-up ! I'll do this now with water from my current tank. Hopefully she will recover, then she can stay in there so I can feed her up ready for breeding !

A bit more info on how to best treat her would be good ?

Thanks
Bob

Ich treatments you could use:
Coppersafe or tone, not sure which
Ridich
Salt

Temperature should be at about 80+F.

Dropsy
Isolation and good conditions. If problems persist use a wide-range antibacterial medication.

There's also a pinned thread somewhere named "A-Z diseases". I'll go look for it.
