I ahve one of them into a platsic box kinda thing at the bottom of the tank,
its got holes in the lid so the water can get in.
how ong shall i leave her in there?

I have a few tanks to play around with, so what I did was to purchase an additional male and female dwarf gourami.

They're semi-aggressive, especially to each other, so now, one female is living in all her lonesome in one of the tanks (she's the 'picked on' of the original two), and two females and the male in a seperate non-community tank of their own.

I'm going to let the male decide who he like's best out of the two, and then re-locate the unwanted female to her own tank.

I've forgotten our previous conversations, do you happen to have any spare tanks? It might be better to seperate the pair.

Dang! I wouldn't like your CAE to murder another Gourami. Looks like you have no choice but to buy a male gourami, see which female he likes best, and then sell the remaining female. Much cheaper than buying a new tank.

yeh,
buying that CAE was NOT a good idea 4 years ago i think now/
because of fungus my male died this morning,
so that leaves 3 females and 2 males

Oh! Is it only two of the three females that are fighting? If so, sell/swap the weaker female for something else. The male gourami's will probably not want to mate with a 'weak' female. That's the sad thing I'm afraid.

yeh, when my treatment for anti fungus and finrot finishes.....next sunday....i will sort it all out.
