Hiya Jmaster, the tank is a 10G 24" long tank. changing to sand is prob the best thing i ever done!
Im so pleased with it, im thinking of getting rite of the gravel thats still at the back of my tank, where i planted my plants. ive got them all in mini flower pots, so im hoping that if i change completely to sand, they will be ok.
sadly i lost my big red during the week, mainly due to her age i think, and her way of holding sooo many eggs, that her tummy just got to big to hold any more.
ive neva eva bred my girls, and dont intend to, because of the sheer amount of time and effort it takes, which at the moment, i dont have the time for. mayb if i was a stay at home mum, and didnt have to work, i wud focus on it. i regret her holding so many eggs, but i cant breed, so there wasnt alot more i could do.
Ral, i hope that the pix of my tank have helped you, but i really wouldnt suggest u just put all ur females together without taking into account, if they dont get on, their just as aggresive as the males, and will fight for domenance. it takes time for them to adjust, but u just have to keep a close eye on them, to make sure they dont fight. gud luck!
