Female Community tank

Hi all, i have abit of a strange event that im hoping someone here can help me explain.

have u ever kept an all girl community tank of bettas ? and if so, have u ever had the following problem happen to u.

ive been keepin 3 females in a 30" tank with a fair few guppys, and they have always got along great with each other, so wen i had an empty tank, i thought hey, il give it a go at a community of girlies.

one of my girlies was poorly, so i seperated her frm the others, and put her in the new tank with a med, hopin she wud recover better alone.

she recovered really well, and very fast! so i thought now that shes been swimmin around alot more, lookin lost in the 10g, il move her girlfriends up with her.

so i puts the other girlies in the tank, and wot does madam ive been in here alone 4 the last 5 days go and do ? flare and fight with the other red girlie, who shes lived with frm birth! i just cnt understand it, i cnt work out if mayb its sumthing ive done, ie, by moving her and seperating her, or if its just her now deciding shes had the tank to herself and she doesnt want to share.

any ideas?

seriously, it was because you seperated her. If you had put her back, the other sister would probably have been the one to fight. Since you put sis 2 in her tank, she was boss.

yep it was her territory once you took her away and gave it to her so shes fightin to keep it hers
