Fish Herder
I have a breeding pair of bristlenoses in a 50 gal well planted tank, it have several pieces of wood, and i recently moved the pair from the trigon, because i added some pictus cats and worried they would eat any babys, since i moved them they had one lot of young and then stopped. I noticed yesterday, (cos i hardly see her) the female has gone rather pale with a couple of patches on here, the male and some of the older sibling are dark with spots and all look healthy.
I read up all that i could and have come to the conclusion she may be stressed, with due to lack of caves (there is a tiger plec is there too) bullying, or temp too low, so not sure what to do. ive added esha 2000 is case she has fungus (caused by stress) a little salt and turned up the temp it was 78, its now hovering around the 79+ mark and ill prob aim at around 80 to see if that helps her recover. I just want you advice as to what is causing her to get stressed the other plecs dont seem to suffer, i can move the tiger - will he be ok with plctus cats.?
