hi yep u can and i do , its the males i can not put in the same tank as there fight

As long as it's 3 or more...for some reason if it's only 2 there will be problems. (I've only read this, haven't experienced it myself).

:D I am really glad you asked that, since I was wondering that yesterday when I saw a particularly pretty female at the store where I had bought my other one last week. I think I will go get her since she is kinda orange.....haven't seen that color around here.......I will try to get two more as one of the posts suggests........don't need any nipping going on!

I keep 4 Feamles in My Community tank.
And I have had no probs, Even with the Male in with them, it has been over 4 weeks and they are fine with all my fish.

P.S I have now added 2 Gourami, added last week. Not a Single problem with all my fish.

I must have some weird fish as everyone has said that some of the fish in my sig normally do not go well together.

My swordatails have now grown tails much longer than their bodies and not a single fish has nipped them.

I keep three females and a VERY EASY-GOING male Betta in a ten gallon.

Originally there were some nipped fins, but now everything is prefectly fine.

But, I watched them for the longest time during the first week just to make sure.

Now they get along fine...

It isn't uncommon, espiecally during feeding, that they'll gather around the front of the tank. Swimming together.

It is kind of cute, when one of the females swims beside the male trying to get my attention. Sometimes they are swimming all over each other trying to get the food [LOVE, their bloodworms].

BUT!!!!! I advise for the benefit of your fish, keep a very careful eye on them.

Originally I had another group of Bettas, which I had to give away cause I wanted to breed some guppy-tailed Mollies.

This first group were NASTY. No matter how many plants there were, or how many females [five in total] they'd pick on each other. The male was so nutty I had to give him back to the petstore about an hour after I had got him home.
