my female bettas dont seem to want to eat the freeze dried brine shrimp i put in....... sometimes they dont touch it at all... sometimes theyll have a little..... weird..... theyll eat the flakes tho.... im tryin to condition them... both my males have bubblenests... but their females are not eating enough to get their vertical stripes or become full of eggs... baaah
any ideas?

are you showing them each other? (putting tanks side by side), thats a sure-fire way to get them excited. females will produce eggs on a monthly basis by the way.

yah, i'm not a big fan of any freeze-dried food myself, brine shrimp doesn't have much nutritional value either, if you can't source live food i would suggest you get some frozen bloodworms etc. ;)

store had no bloodworms so i got the brine shrimp.. my other female had her stripes after 3 days of eating it... these females are weird... dont seem too interested in the males or eating... i think ill put them in breeding traps in the males tanks and maybe theyll eat then
