Have a female dbl tail that I found laying on bottom of tank...which is pretty much normal for her..shes a lazygirl. Anyways after watching her for a while it was obvious she was having problems. Could barely make it to the surface, then would sink back down and sorta lie on her side a bit. What I noticed is that after she gulped some air, most of it was expelled out in bubbles. Put her in a floater so shes close to surface. She is still alive. She still comes to top of floater to say hi to me and eats but not much. But the main thing is that every time she takes air, it is expelled out in bubbles again. Then she lays on her side till the next time. Almost seems like she is sorta drowning. Shes not breathing super hard but there is some stress in her gill areas. She is in my sorority tank and all the other girls are just fine. Water parameters are almost perfect. No one else shows any signs of discomfort. Her outward appearances are super. I've seen a lot of things with fish, but this one is new to me. Any ideas?
