Female betta tank

hi all, i have a 12 litre tank that is doing nothing, and i was wondering if i could put any female bettas in there if it was well planted and a few hidey holes. i was guessing i could put 2 or 3 in there, but if im wrong plz let me know.

I think females should be kept in numbers of at least 4 in at least 10 gallon/40 liter tank. Or alone. Your tank is perfect for one betta.
 
Exactly what Kittykat said. 4 at a minimum, otherwise two will bully the third one and then fight eachother until death. 10 gallon at least, with a lot of hiding spots and plants. I would go with the highest amount you could, the more the better usually.

They have a pecking order so they will fight at first, but will get it straightened out. You usually just separate a particularly aggressive female.
