Female betta in community..

Currently have 5 green tiger barbs, 3 zebra loaches in my 30g tank. Will a fairly young female betta be OK in here?

hmmmmm. I don't think they would be ok witht the tigerbarbs. tigerbarbs are hugey finnippers. (i have a few) and they're not recomended to be kept with pretty-finned fish likebettas and gouramis and the such.

yeah I know they normally say its not a good idea, but they always seem to talk about males (who obviously have long fins etc) but I've never read anything about females and tigers??!

Females don't go well with fin nippers. They still have soft and sometimes rather long fins, and getting nipped can either stress them out a lot, or cause them to go kung-fu on the tank and starts a little slaughter

The actress is Uma Thurman, I can't remember her screen name though. I looked up the trailers and she was listed as "The Bride"

How bout Gogo Yubari (Chiaki Kuriyama) She is the body guard girl in kill bill 1. With the ball and chain weapon. But Beatrice (Uma Thurman) was the brides name.

Ahhh! Beatrix! Excellent! That goes in my notebook, along with Uma, of course. Name some other ladies in those movies. I liked the Asian in 1 and the African American in 2.

So far for a future unknown betta sorority tank: GoGo, LucyLui, Beatrix, Uma, Vernita Green, perhaps O-Ren Ishii, and The Bride.

I'd be wary of the Zebra Loaches too. They can be semi-aggressive, and will nip the fins of other fish. I personally wouldn't risk putting a Betta with them.

I would personally look for a tank cleaning crew I liked.
