Hi, I have a 100 gal Mbuna tank and there is the usual agression towards each other, but the tank has many caves and everyone has done well. In the last week however, my female auratus has turned into a little witch! She is so mean to everyone. Once she loses her chosen target, she simply moves on. Nothing about the tank has changed in six months, except I started feeding krill once a week (don't see how this would affect, but thought it'd be good to add) Could she maybe be wanting to spawn or something? Thanks for your help.

Maybe the krill has conditioned her for breeding.?. I'd either spank her or get her a boyfriend. A boyfriend or chocolate always worked for me when I was feeling randy.

She is an adult, the male doen't seem to notice her, I don't think she has eggs because she looks the same, she is eating well, but she doesn't go up and get it herself, she steals from other fish afetr they get some. Also I'll add that I haven't seen her actually make contact with any other fish, so she's not doing damage (unless it's going on in a cave). She just chases all day without fail, and this is a definate change.

Sorrell .... try to re-arrage the rocks in your tank. Aggression begins with territory and if you change the rocks around in your tank the community has to find new homes to set inside. take out all rocks for half a day, then reset the tank in a new decor. That way the territory bounderies become negated and needs to be reset by the community. Usually aggression lessens if there are no rocks "lairs" to guard.
