Feeling A Bit Blah

We rehomed one of our cats today. We had 3, 1 male and 2 females, and the older female was really not happy she's gone to live with the sister of one of our best friends, she'll be the only pet in a house with one person instead of 5, which is exactly what she needs, but I still feel horrible, as though I've failed her by giving her away instead of sticking with it and fixing the problems, even though I know I couldn't have fixed the things that were bothering her.

I guess I'm just wallowing.

Aww, I know it makes you feel bad, but you've done the best thing for Bella, that's the important thing.

Sometimes we can't fix things and admitting that and doing something about it is the greatest thing you can do for your animals. I'm sure Bella will be really happy being the centre of attention in a nice, quiet household

They say is is more blessed to give than to receive...... especially if it is kittens ...But yea... I know how you feel...... While I was still involved with the SPCA, I sometimes rehomed some of the animals very reluctantly...... even after checking out their new homes and new owners,.... I still felt uneasy letting go of some.
