only had my bristlenose plec this morning and dropped an algea wafer in this afternoon but the pelc hasnt even looked at it but the guppies are munching it.

will the plec go for it at lights out.

Yes he will eat it when he's ready, probably getting used to his new surroundings.

Don't worry about your other fish eating the algae wafers. It is good and nutritious food for any fish that cares to eat them. Many different fish enjoy them.
