How do I tell if I'm feeding my betta enough? I'm feeding him frozen live food (when I said that before the guy at the lfs laughed at me, but you know what I mean!), a mix of 6 different things - red, white and black mosquito larvae, cyclop, artemia and daphnia. He also gets the occassional live bug that... wanders... into his tank somehow. But I don't know how to tell how much I should be feeding.

3-4 times a day is good. I usually just feed my bettas two bloodworms in the morning and two at night, daphnia as a treat every other day in between is good too.

Mine get 4 b/w 2x a day.

I tried the mixed packets but found the artemia and the daphnia cloud the water and they won't touch it. I go with bloodworm.

i think it really varies. i've been feeding my betta 3-5 pellets a day for almost a year now and he seems content with that. he gets some green peas every now and then..
