Feeding Wile On Vacation.....?

I'm going to be going on a vacation for 9 days and I was wondering if my fish would be okay for that long? Should I have someone come and feed him? I do have this topfin three day feeder thing, but it says it's for 5-10 medium or small sized fish. If I put that in there will it put ammonia in his tank? Should I only give him a small peace of it? Thanks in advance for your advice.

fish can go without food for 2 weeks but it isnt something you should do if you have ways around it. Try getting a hoilday tablet and putting one of them in there... It will not rot into the water and only break off when the fish is biting it. This way the fish can take what he wants without putting amonia into the tank or lack of feeding. Only thing that you might get when you return home is a betta that needs a diet. As these tend to eat even if not hungry.

Even up to 9 days, I would leave it as is and feed normally when you get back... should not be a problem.... do not feed extra before you leave though.
